For combining two orthogonally polarized sources and monitoring each optical signal at a variety of wavelengths including 780, 820, 980, 1060, 1450, 1550, and 1650 nm, while maintaining polarization.

In optical amplifiers this provides a doubling of pump power whilst ensuring pump redundancy should a pump failure occur. All ports consist of polarization-maintaining fiber and are launched on the slow axis, with fast axis versions available upon request.

This combiner is designed for undersea systems and high-power optical amplifiers.
