「KLARAN」は、深紫外波長（260～270 nm）に発光ピークを持つ深紫外LED（UVC LED）で、世界最高レベルの発光出力を実現しています。
「KLARAN」は、殺菌に最も効果的な265nm周辺の波長を発光できる小型で高出力な深紫外LEDであり、小型でコンパクトな装置での殺菌機能の設計が可能となることから、ヘルスケア製品、家庭用機器分野における水 ・ 空気 ・ 表面殺菌など、これまで紫外線殺菌が用いられなかった幅広い分野にて用途の拡大が期待されています。また、2013年10月に採択された「水銀に関する水俣条約」に代表される水銀の環境負荷に対する国際的な意識の高まりに伴い、飲料水の殺菌やラボ用超純水製造装置などに使用されている水銀ランプの代替光源としても注目されています。
